According to Alexa, JohnMcCain.com has taken a sharp turn up. Leaping up in ranks by 1279 World Wide. This puts JohnMcCain.com at a world rank of #7,477 and a US rank of #1,832 (US increase of 121 ranks). When a website in the top 100,000 increases by any amount it is impressive, johnmccain.com has successfully proven that it is not out of the website ranking race yet!

Barack Obama's Wolling Rank

Compared against each other Barack Obama’s Wolling Rank is still 6004 (~80% higher) global ranks ahead of JohnMcCain.com but only 1371 (~74% higher) ranks higher in the US. Below is a graph of what the last week looks like in terms of Wolling Ranks.

John McCain v. Barack Obama Wolling Ranks.

As these Wolling Ranks change we will continue to provide and update and hopefully more meaningful analysis. Along with correlational data.

These numbers have not been compared against any national polling service, though they are curious enough to be considered a ‘predictor’ of the presidential election 2008. It is still a few months away and a lot can change. This has not been authorized by either John McCain nor Barack Obama, though I think we can speculate neither would oppose it.

The usage of Website ranking tools to predict the outcome of an election. Called “Wolling” (pronounced Wohl-ing)

Despite its ‘flaws’ it is a very interesting look into the way people might vote in 2008.

One interesting thing about Quantcast is that it offers “Demographics”
Though it is probably the least accurate of the three options since it is based on if the website embeds code linking back to Quantcast. If the person browsing the website has 3rd party cookies turned off (as many mac and pc users do) it skews the results making the numbers dramatically lower and less accurate.
